The Christmas single "Said the Night Wind" is the first solo venture for singer/songwriter/worship leader Jeff Somers is some years. A vocational worship pastor in Moncton, NB (Canada), Jeff spent several years fronting the modern worship band "Jeff Somers Band". Jeff's time with JSB saw him share the stage with artists like Newsboys, Starfield and Geoff Moore, and their 2007 release, "The Origin of Moonlight" garnered the group 2 GMA-Canada Covenant Award nominations. This changing season in life sees Jeff return to some of his singer/songwriter roots and presents the opportunity to explore some orphan material and expressions that never seemed to have a home during his tenure with the band. "Said the Night Wind" signals a return to Jeff's musical home base - songs of the laid-back, folk-infused, acoustic and melody-driven variety. He is currently starting work on a new project of original material slated for release in early 2012.
